Accessibility statement

We want every merchant and every shopper to be able to use AonTap, on the website, in the dashboard and at the terminal.

Last updated 2 October 2026.

1. Our commitment

AonTap is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. Our commitment is an ongoing journey: as technologies evolve and user needs change, we remain dedicated to maintaining and improving the accessibility of our digital products.

2. Standards

Our website, merchant dashboard and app aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and with EN 301 549, the standards underpinning the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), which applies to payment terminals and services from 28 June 2025. This website is currently partially conformant : some content may not yet fully conform, as set out below.

3. What we do on this website

  • Semantic HTML, a skip-to-content link, and keyboard-operable navigation, menus, tabs and forms with visible focus.
  • Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text; information is never conveyed by colour alone.
  • Text resizes to 200% without loss of content; layouts reflow to 320 px width.
  • Reduced-motion preference honoured: animations are disabled when the operating system requests it.
  • Alternative text on informative images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Form fields have programmatic labels, and errors are announced.

4. At the terminal

Terminals used by AonTap support accessibility features for shoppers, including an accessibility mode for PIN entry with audio guidance and tactile navigation on supported devices, large-text display modes, and multi-language prompts. Merchants can enable these in the dashboard. Digital receipts are delivered as accessible HTML, not images.

5. Known limitations

  • Some embedded product videos do not yet have captions or audio description; they are decorative and carry no essential information.
  • Third-party content (the acquiring partner’s customer area, partner ordering platforms) is governed by those providers' accessibility statements.
  • The legacy GreenTill shopper app is being updated to meet the same standard.

6. Feedback and enforcement

If you encounter a barrier, email [email protected] with the page or feature and the assistive technology you use. We aim to respond within 5 business days and to fix or provide an accessible alternative promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the National Disability Authority or, for payment services, the Central Bank of Ireland.

7. Assessment

This statement is based on self-assessment and automated testing (axe, Lighthouse) carried out in October 2026. An independent audit against WCAG 2.1 AA and EN 301 549 is planned before commercial launch and this statement will be updated with its findings.
