1. Who we are
AonTap is a trading name of Aon Tap Merchant Services ("AonTap", "we"), a company registered in Ireland [CRO number and registered office to be inserted]. AonTap is not a bank and is not itself a regulated payment institution. AonTap acts as a commercial reseller and service partner for card acquiring provided by the licensed acquiring partner, a credit institution licensed and supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank and authorised to provide payment services in Ireland under the EU passporting regime. Digital receipt technology is provided by Green Till Limited, registered in Ireland (CRO 670625).
2. Terms of service (summary)
The full Merchant Agreement, the licensed acquiring partner's Terms and Conditions and the Data Processing Agreement govern in full. In summary:
- Term. Month to month. Either party may terminate on 30 days' written notice.
- Settlement. The licensed acquiring partner settles to your nominated bank account, typically the next business day. Reserves or holds may apply under the licensed acquiring partner's terms where risk requires. AonTap does not hold, route or control merchant funds.
- Terminals. Rented and remain the property of AonTap or the licensed acquiring partner. We provide updates, fleet management and swap-out replacement for faults. Loss, theft and accidental damage are the merchant's responsibility. Return within 14 days of termination.
- Software. POS, loyalty, receipts, insights and impact payments are licensed to you for the term. Loyalty and receipts rely on cardholder consent captured on the terminal; you are controller and we are processor under the DPA.
- Compliance. You must comply with card scheme rules, PCI DSS requirements applicable to your environment, consumer law and anti-money-laundering obligations, and provide information reasonably requested by the licensed acquiring partner or AonTap.
- Liability. Neither party excludes liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, AonTap's total liability in any 12-month period is limited to fees paid to AonTap in that period; neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Processing and settlement liability is governed by the licensed acquiring partner's terms.
- Law. Irish law; exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
